HELL NO !!  HEAVEN YES !!

 

Every Wednesday I share a message just before we pray over our city. 

We are praying over our city and Nation, and realize that many of our citizens are on their way to a literal Hell.  2 Peter 3:9 But God is NOT willing that any should “PERISH”, but that all should come to repentance. 

Those who accept Jesus, receive eternal life in their spirit and when they pass on from this earth, they will immediately go to HEAVEN.  But those who reject Jesus are not so fortunate. 

Satan had been created as a masterpiece, revealing the uniqueness of God’s creative powers. He was a jewel in the family of angels; however, his pride somehow caused him to rebel.  He used his charm to deceive a great company of angels and, together, they revolted against the Sovereign God. They were cast out of Heaven and left without any permanent dwelling place, for now. From that day the entire company of Satan and his fallen angels have been vagabonds.  They wander seeking who they can destroy.

In every place where a person allows satan ‘right of entry,’ he produces a wilderness. His powers are para-normal but satan’s powers are NOT supernatural.  God does not want us to be involved in fortune telling, witchcraft, the occult and Spiritism.  They are false, and not from the true god Jehovah.

This worldwide calamity of Satan had to be judged and the Father created a place called Hell.

The souls of the wicked are consigned to this horrible place, but it was not created for them. The Bible clearly states it was created for the devil and his angels, Matthew 25:41 “Then shall God say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”  

The souls of men go there because they choose to follow Satan’s kingdom and to reject God’s offer of forgiveness and salvation. Such a multitude has rejected Christ Jesus and His offer of salvation, that Hell must be constantly enlarged. The Bible states, Isaiah 5:14 “Therefore Hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoices in wickedness, shall descend into it”   

The multitudes that are dying without the righteousness of Christ are forever lost. Hell may be full, but it is enlarging its border for the next wave of the damned. The name of Jesus Christ alone is God’s escape from eternal judgment in unquenchable fire.

Jesus told a story about the Rich Man and Lazarus.  Luke 16:19-21 “There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table.” Luke 16:22-26 “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torment, and seeing Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 

Matthew 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”  

So how should we pray?  Pray for laborers to be sent forth into the harvest.

Pray for hard hearts to be softened to receive Jesus and not reject Him.

Pray for hearing ears and seeing eyes to understand God loves them and sent Jesus his only son that they should NOT perish if they will only believe and receive Jesus. 

Take authority over rebellion and loose repentance so that stubborn minds and hearts are willing to follow Jesus.

Heaven - YES 

John 14:2  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Luke 23:43  And Jesus said to him (the thief on the other cross), "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

There was a major shift in the Spirit and in the earth as Jesus died.  God’s plan was being fulfilled.

Matthew 27:50-53 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.  And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Jesus went to Paradise at his death - - while there for three days, He preached to the Old Testament saints telling them He is the Messiah.  After 3 days, when he rose from the dead, he removed Paradise taking it and all the saints in Paradise to heaven.  This is when Hell enlarged its borders. 

Christians who die, no longer go to Paradise but go direct to heaven.

Jesus is no longer in Paradise, but He is in heaven interceding for us that our faith not fail.

Hebrews 1:2-3  God has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Jesus became our High Priest and after his resurrection. He showed himself to Mary, but told her, “Don’t touch me, because I must first appear before my Father.”  

According to the sacrificial ceremony the High Priest needed to enter before God into the Holy Place and present the Pure Blood for the sins of the people.  Jesus is now our High Priest and He took His own blood and appeared before God to be approved for all time.

God approved His one time sacrifice and Jesus was released to spend the next 40 days with his followers explaining to them the Old Testament Scriptures and how they were fulfilled by His death and resurrection. 

Jesus then encouraged his followers to wait for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. 

He promised to return some day and receive us to where He is.  No one knows the day or the hour, so we must always be ready.

 

Mark 13:32 says, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”

 

In the book of Revelation, John received visions as to how beautiful heaven and the cities there will be.  Transparent streets of Gold where you can look down and view the foundations of precious gems.  The tree of Life will be there with its many fruits. 

No one in their right mind would want to miss heaven.  Jesus is the ONLY way to go there, so if you have not already done so, receive Jesus now into your life.
