Welcome Jesus to Your Home

Pastor Allan was ministering at Open Door Church as I took notes and present his edited sermon for you to enjoy.

When God is moving, the enemy will do everything in his power to stop it.  Here will come strange doctrines, false teaching and opinions not backed by scripture.  The enemy brings doubts, criticism and negative thinking.  When you realize it is the enemy, you can bind these things in Jesus’ name.

There is a Spiritual shifting taking place in our church, city, State and Nation.  God is working on us individually so that we become united – not divided.  A lot of us here are hurting in one way or another.  But you are in the right place because God is bringing deliverance.  You are not alone because the struggle is in many Christians and also in the world.  It is hard trying to make a living, and raise your children to serve God.  It is almost necessary to de-program your child from what they are learning at school.

We have been speaking about being just like Jesus.  Believers who followed Christ were actively pursuing Jesus. Crowds pushed and tried to touch him where ever he went.  To find some solitude, Jesus would hire a boat and travel to the other side, but the crowd would run around the lake and find him at the new destination.

They pursued him because they saw the wonders and miracles and they needed him.

If you wanted to spend some time with Jesus, it was necessary to invite him into your home.  Would Jesus be welcome in YOUR home?

Luke 10:38  As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.

Martha wanted everything to be nice, and she was troubled because her sister Mary was not helping her prepare the food.  She complained to Jesus, but he rebuked her saying that Mary had made the right choice to sit at his feet and this was pleasing to him.

Pastor said, that when his sister expects company, she spends weeks preparing, so that when they arrive, she can sit and enjoy their company.

How busy are you doing things that seem important and missing the presence of God.  We try to get every thing in life just right, and miss it when God says, come away and visit with me.

Ministry is a fancy word for “service.” You have a place in this church to minister by entering in and allowing the fire of the Holy Spirit to fall on you.

When the Holy Spirit comes down in our services; we see changes in life styles.  Some react differently and may fall, others shake and weep, but although this is wonderful, it is not what we need to live.  We must also get into the Word of God and allow the change inside to be reflected in our daily walk.

Prepare yourself before you come to church.  Be ready to serve, and expect to receive.

Jesus left Martha’s home, and moved on to a desert place.

John 11: 1  Now Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

This was the same Mary and Martha and they sent word to Jesus “please come and heal our brother.”  Jesus told his disciples this was not a sickness unto death, but for the glory of god - - and on purpose he waited two more days.

Jesus knew the situation and he was in control.  Finally he told his disciples that Lazarus sleeps.  They thought Jesus meant sleep, so they said, let us not disturb him if he is asleep.  Jesus told them plainly, Lazarus is dead, and I am glad we weren’t there so God will be glorified.

We are often like the disciples, as we think in the flesh and fail to delve into the deep things of the Spirit.

When Jesus arrived, Martha went to meet Jesus and she was in great need.  Mary stayed in the house grieving.  Martha showed her faith, by saying I know that what ever you say will come to pass.  Yet she was thinking about the future resurrection and not a miracle for today.

The people informed Jesus that Lazarus had been in the tomb four days.  After that length of time it would be impossible for a miracle.

Four days does not matter to Jesus.  He is in control and he knows the answer.  Jesus commanded in a loud voice, “Lazarus come forth.”

And wrapped and bound by grave clothes, Lazarus came alive, walking out of the tomb.

Today is the day for your miracle.  Jesus knows that your body aches, and craves deliverance.

We step up with empty hands, family problems, health needs; but God already knows and He is in control.  Jesus is walking love and he walks through the crowd with your answer.

We live in a society with so much stuff that binds people.  We are distracted and carried away with technology.  Jesus shows up just in time and He is the anointed one.

Come expecting to receive –

There shall be no more night mares, no more falling down, Use your mouth and say, “NO MORE.”

Let Jesus restore your mind and body and walk in your miracle.

Greater is He that is IN you than he that is in the world.

Focusing on the Lord, moment-by-moment, day-by-day, is all I can do. He's all I/we can ever count on forever, b/c of His thoroughly understanding of what's going on in our world and all the other worlds. With so much sinfulness in our world consistently now, this is a heart-breaker. Thank you for sharing.
