Sometime back, my daughter
Becky gave me a recipe for Reese’s Peanut Cups.
I had never gotten around to
trying it, so I thought why not attempt it today?
The recipe called for 2 cubes
of margarine, and I only had one cube, so I decided to make half a recipe. I searched my pantry and found a few
chocolate chips and an unopened bag that said chocolate hunks. Considering that might do I mixed the two
together.
When the cracker mix was in
the pan and the chocolate was melting, I did not like the looks of the
chocolate. It was a ball of soft
chocolate and I was concerned that it might burn. So I carefully spooned it over the mixture,
and smoothed it out.
Still not happy with the looks of it, I decided maybe it would melt more in the oven. Turning the oven on to 350 and waiting a few minutes, I placed the pan inside for 6 minutes. I couldn’t tell if that helped or not. (You can tell how I cook with a wing and a prayer.)

If you have real chocolate
chips and not hunks they might melt better.
Anyway the candies taste delicious.
Reese’s Peanut Cups
1 pack graham crackers (22
squares) crushed. I crushed mine in the
food processor.
3 cups powdered sugar
12 oz package Semi or Sweet
milk chocolate chips.
1 cup melted margarine (2
cubes)
1 cup peanut butter (smooth
or chunky)
Mix crackers, margarine,
powdered sugar and peanut butter. Pack
into 9x13 inch well greased pan. Melt
chocolate chips and spread over the mixture.
Cut into small squares. Chill.

Oh, wow, that looks and sounds delicious! I do love Reeses peanut butter cups (so do my kids). It will be a nice treat at Christmas!
