Be The Healing Generation

Hands That Heal

Pastor Allan suggested that Today’s key word is “Generation.”

( I took notes and offer this digested Sermon from Sunday Morning.)

Our city first called Ophir, was built in the Gold Rush days, and in 1854 the, name was changed to Oroville (City of Gold.)

The generation was one of greed and selfishness as people sought to become rich.

Many Chinese workers were here and the Emperor of China commissioned a temple to be built in Oroville, so the three major Chinese religions: Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism could worship.  The temple sanctuaries are still in use and visitors report the energy of the deities honored can be felt especially in one of the worship rooms. (No comment)

The first generation because of stubbornness refused to listen to God’s voice.

Joshua instructed the Children of Israel to teach their children the law and to write them down so that their children would remember to walk with God.

Oroville is a rough town.  Many are homeless, and the population abounds with poverty; over-run with a lack of education, and with little desire to do better.

Pastor said, if I asked for a show of hands, many would say they have been hurt by the church, but that is no reason to separate ourselves from God.  No excuse whatever.

God is searching for tender hearts willing to forgive and receive forgiveness.

Our nation has forgotten how America was founded, and we have missed the mark.  The generation before us lost sight of God and passed their blindness on to us.

We no longer need to live that way, and we are thirsty to rebuild the broken down walls.

The scriptures tell us, “I will pour water upon the dry ground, and we shall be like a tree planted by the still water.”

Through the years, intercessors have cried out for revival and God has heard their prayers.  Something new is being planted in this generation.

We shall be the Healing Generation

Ezekiel 47:1-5  Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looked eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

Understand we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and the water of life flows out from our human spirit.

Today the water is ankle deep, but I don’t want to be satisfied to stay there.  Fresh water must flow freely.  I believe we are on the brink of the dam breaking and flooding the land - - the whole country.  People are praying.

It is time to quit looking at all the bad and focus on what God is doing.  God is moving in hearts and bring deliverance.  Yes, Industry is coming to our city.

Don’t be content with water ankle deep, and don’t be frightened, but launch out into the deep.  The Holy Spirit is the water of life.  Where ever He flows there will be life.

May I urge you to Be a healer in this generation.

I LOVE this post...such edifying words from your pastor and you. I get so burdened looking around at the conditions of our day, but this post gives me hope and motivates me that we need to be vehicles of God's healing in these evil times. Yes, I do believe there are many Christians who are waking up and realizing that if we don't pray and turn our faces back towards God, we are going to continue this downward spiral and lose more than we have already lost. Dear Lord, help us to bring about Your healing to this land! Thank you so much for your words, Hazel.

All we can trust on and through is our Heavenly Father. The rivers of our world are, in many locations, filled with sinfulness pieces that are accepted by many around the our world. I'm a heartbroken person re: our world situation and trusting our Father is all I can do, moment-by-moment. Thank you for sharing.
