I took notes as our Bible Study teacher asked us to read
from Exodus 25:20-25. I present an
edited lesson here for you.
God had just mightily delivered the Children of Israel from Egypt and had
met Moses on the Mountain where the law was given.
God gave instructions telling the people that
He was sending His Angel to go before them on their journey to the Promised
Land. He cautioned them to beware of
the Angel and to obey his voice.
God is a jealous God and He told them to not worship other
gods or bow down to them or serve them.
He issued a tremendous promise, that if they would worship Him Only - -
he would bless them, take away sickness from them, and destroy their enemies.
Church buildings come in all shapes and sizes. Some are large Cathedrals or a simple structure, a house
of worship, while others are storefronts, old movie theatres, and even
warehouses. When God’s presence is
there, it matters not because God dwells not in temples made with hands but he
dwells in believers; the body of Christ.
Our Teacher asked us to pray for the Muslims to receive
Jesus. Many are having dreams and
visions and are coming to Christ, often entire villages. They are a people who believe in dreams and
visions and many times they see a vision of Jesus telling them, “I am the way
and the truth.)
“Christine Darg, author says: “Through
dreams and visions, Jesus is going into the Muslim world and revealing,
particularly, the last 24 hours of His life - how He died on the cross, which
Islam does not teach - how He was raised from the dead, which Islam also does
not teach – and how He is the Son of God, risen in power."
Focus on Prayer for Muslims and
other Nations as well in your personal time with God. As you pray and study there will be a washing
of the Word in you.
We will be doing a study on the
Old Testament Tabernacle and why it is important.
Today, we are God’s dwelling
place I
Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know
that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have
from God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in
your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
As believers we are part of God’s Priesthood. I Peter 2:9 But you
are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;
that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of
darkness into his marvelous light;
The Tabernacle of Moses shows a
pattern of worship. Only the Priest was
allowed in the Holy of Holies Place ,
but because of the sacrifice of Jesus, now we can boldly enter God’s presence.
The Blood of Jesus has made us worth to enter into God’s Holiest inner court.
Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brothers, boldness to
enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
We commune with God through Jesus our High Priest. The Holy Spirit feeds us as we read and study
God’s Word. Our relationship with our
Lord is secure. As we pray, do thank God
for His Word revealed to us.
God has a divine order and in Numbers chapter 3, He set the
twelve tribes in order three on each side around the Tabernacle.
Instructions were given how to build the Tabernacle and the crafting of the ark, alters, tables and candle sticks.
The altar of incense stood within the Holy Place , just
outside the veil that separated the Holy
Place from the Holy of Holies. The incense that burned continually on the
altar offered up a pleasing aroma to God and signified that the Israelites were
obeying God’s command for the tabernacle.
In the book of Revelation, John saw a vision and heard a voice. Revelations 21:3 And I heard a great voice out
of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his
people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
In Heaven there will be no temple, because the Lord God
Almighty and the Lamb are the temple.
The Old Testament Tabernacle is a representation of Jesus,
and the structure matches up with New Testament expressions of Heavenly
order. Think and dwell on these things
and meditate on them. Remember there is
only ONE WAY in - - -.
