Apples, Flaxseed and Yogurt.

With summer coming on, you might enjoy something healthy and light for breakfast.

An older friend gave me this recipe and informed me that it is good for the liver, intestines, gallbladder and stomach. I will share her recipe at the end of this post.

She went on to say that flaxseed is also good for the body in general.

For stomach ache: Flaxseed tea. 2 tsp flaxseed, cover with 8 oz boiling water and let seep for 30 minutes. Drink the tea.

Also good for stomach discomfort, are the following foods: Carrot, coconut milk, eggplant, okra, parsnip, sweet potato. Before meals - - - a persimmon.

Enjoy this simple and easy recipe that is good for your health actually good any time of day!

Breakfast Treat with Apples, Flaxseed and Yogurt

2 Tablespoons flaxseed (I use my blender to grind the seeds)
4 Tablespoons whey (I use plain yogurt)
1 or 2 peeled and finely grated apples.

Mix and enjoy. NO cooking but be sure to finish it all.

Any left over, give it to your dog as it is also healthy for animals.  Add 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 tablespoon of olive oil if you give some to your dog. Their coat will shine!!

Hi Mom... I have flaxseed in/on most everything. I love that organic granola with flaxseed and pumpkin seeds.
I get some organic liquid yogurt and pour it on top. I change out the fruit between apples, peaches and pears.
So good!

Healthy, healthy. I have some flaxseed I could use for this. Thanks for the suggestion--and for linking to Food on Fridays.
